Purpose
The Connaught International Scholarships assist graduate
units in recruiting and supporting top international graduate students.
Value & Duration
The award value to each Connaught scholar is $35,000.00
total per year, which includes the cost of domestic rate tuition, incidental
fees, and the program's standard minimum stipend. This scholarship is renewable
on an annual basis and will continue throughout the standard period of the
program's funding commitment (i.e., four to five years).
Eligibility
Nominees must be new international applicants who have
been or will be offered admission to full-time doctoral or doctoral-stream
programs with a funding commitment.
Nominees must begin their program in the 2016-2017 academic years
(no later than Fall 2016).
Nominees who will begin as master's students in a
doctoral-stream program must transfer to the graduate unit's doctoral program
within the standard reclassification time period.
Award holders who later become permanent residents of Canada
will continue to be eligible to hold the award.
How to Apply
Nominations are made by graduate units in the Winter session
based on admission applications.
Admission application deadlines are set by the individual graduate units.
